Terms of Service

Last updated: 11 May 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using the Lumera platform (“Platform”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Platform. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Definitions

  • “Lumera” refers to the entity operating the Platform at lumera.com.ph.
  • “Couple” means a registered user searching for and engaging wedding suppliers.
  • “Supplier” means a registered wedding professional listing services on the Platform.
  • “Inquiry” means a request for information or quotation sent by a Couple to a Supplier through the Platform.
  • “Booking” means a confirmed engagement between a Couple and Supplier, marked as “Booked” on the Platform.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate, current information when registering. You are responsible for all activity under your account and must keep your credentials secure. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Lumera reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

You may authenticate using email and password, Google or Facebook OAuth, or WebAuthn/FIDO2 passwordless login. Regardless of the method, you remain responsible for securing access to your account.

4. Platform role

Lumera is a marketplace that connects Couples with Suppliers. We are not a party to any contract or agreement between a Couple and a Supplier. We do not employ, endorse, or guarantee the quality of any Supplier. All bookings, payments, and service delivery occur directly between the Couple and Supplier.

The Lumera Verified badge indicates that a Supplier has passed our document-based identity and business verification process. It does not constitute a warranty of service quality, reliability, or suitability for your event.

5. Supplier obligations

  • Provide truthful and accurate business information, including pricing in Philippine Pesos (PHP).
  • Upload only original portfolio work that you have the right to display.
  • Respond to inquiries promptly and professionally.
  • Submit valid verification documents (DTI/SEC registration, government-issued ID) for the verification process.
  • Comply with all applicable Philippine laws, including the Consumer Act (RA 7394) and the Electronic Commerce Act (RA 8792).
  • Keep your availability calendar up to date to prevent double bookings.
  • Not engage in fraudulent, misleading, or deceptive practices.

6. Couple obligations

  • Provide accurate event details (date, location, guest count, budget) when sending inquiries.
  • Communicate respectfully with Suppliers through the Platform.
  • Not submit spam inquiries, fake inquiries, or inquiries with no genuine intent to engage a Supplier.
  • Honour bookings and communicate changes to the Supplier in a timely manner.

7. Content and intellectual property

You retain ownership of content you upload (portfolio images, business descriptions, messages). By uploading content, you grant Lumera a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and optimise your content as part of the Platform’s services (e.g. image transformation for web performance, thumbnail generation, search indexing).

The Lumera name, logo, “Lumera Verified” badge, and Platform design are the intellectual property of Lumera. You may not use them outside the Platform without written permission.

8. Reviews and ratings

Only Couples with a confirmed Booking can leave a review for a Supplier. Reviews must be honest and based on your actual experience. Lumera reserves the right to remove reviews that contain:

  • Defamatory, abusive, or hateful language.
  • Personal information of individuals not part of the transaction.
  • Content unrelated to the service received.
  • Spam or promotional material.

Suppliers may flag a review for moderation but cannot directly remove reviews. Lumera’s moderation team makes the final decision.

9. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users’ accounts or Platform infrastructure.
  • Scrape, crawl, or harvest data from the Platform beyond what is publicly available via standard web browsing.
  • Upload malware, viruses, or malicious code.
  • Impersonate another person or entity.
  • Manipulate search rankings, reviews, or inquiry metrics.
  • Circumvent verification requirements or use fraudulent documents.
  • Harass, threaten, or discriminate against other users.

10. Payments and subscriptions

Lumera is free for Couples. Suppliers may access free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed in Philippine Pesos (PHP) and processed through PayMongo or manual bank transfer. All prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.

Subscription terms, billing cycles, cancellations, and refund policies are detailed on the Subscription Terms page. Payments between Couples and Suppliers for wedding services are made directly and are not processed by Lumera.

11. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. Lumera makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Platform’s availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that:

  • The Platform will be uninterrupted or error-free.
  • Suppliers will respond to inquiries or deliver services as described.
  • Information provided by Suppliers is accurate or complete.
  • Search results will match your expectations or preferences.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Philippine law, Lumera shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Platform, including but not limited to disputes between Couples and Suppliers, loss of data, or service interruptions.

Lumera’s total aggregate liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to Lumera in the 12 months preceding the claim, or PHP 5,000, whichever is greater.

13. Dispute resolution

Disputes between Couples and Suppliers should be resolved directly between the parties. Lumera may assist with mediation at its discretion but is not obligated to do so. See our Help center for guidance.

Disputes between you and Lumera shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. You agree to attempt resolution through good-faith negotiation before pursuing legal action. Any legal proceedings shall be filed in the courts of Metro Manila, Philippines.

14. Termination

You may close your account at any time by emailing support@lumera.com.ph. Lumera may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (intellectual property, limitation of liability, dispute resolution) will continue to apply.

15. Data privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in compliance with the Philippine Data Privacy Act (RA 10173).

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, including but not limited to the Civil Code, the Consumer Act (RA 7394), the Electronic Commerce Act (RA 8792), and the Data Privacy Act (RA 10173).
